The project involves the preservation, restoration, and extension of a listed building at Praxitelous Street, in the historic commercial center of Athens. The proposal focuses on restoring and preserving the characteristic façade, optimizing the site through the removal of incompatible elements and the addition of a new, clean-built volume, and adapting the building for reuse as a hotel. The design includes a ground-floor reception area and a mezzanine-level breakfast room, supported by upgraded facilities that meet contemporary hospitality standards.
The interior aims for an elegant urban aesthetic that harmonizes with the traditional character of the historic center, enhancing and highlighting the building’s architectural identity while ensuring a sustainable and economically viable new use.
